Wonder Whiz Kids

Wonder Whiz Kids- home school online library is a free service. Science is most interesting to learn when students are allowed to experiment. One can start by creating interest in Science by using resources like this one created with passion by Dr.A.Vidyasagar of Avantel.

Avantel Limited

Avantel Limited, Hyderabad is promoted by Dr A.Vidyasagar, technocrat from IIT Kharagpur. The firm forged strategic relationship with ISRO and offers several wireless systems.
MSS Reporting terminals for ship to shore data communication through Indian satellites are configured through a PC based work station with a user friendly GUI. The architecture is scalable and flexible to take care of future requirements. The data communication is highly secure with interface to a range of applications for command and control. These terminals work on a wide beam near omni directional antenna and hence are operational without satellite tracking and stabilization.

To send short messages from ship to main land, these terminals are ideal solution. They are mounted on the ship and use INSAT MSS payload to communicate to the destination through HUB. User in the ship can send the text or GPS messages through serial port to the terminals. Terminals can be configured in aloha, TDMA mode and Auto GPS Mode.

R and D Innovation Council

Zinnov launched R&D Innovation Council on August 7th 2008. Zinnov, management consulting firm was promoted by Vijay Swaminathan (KPMG) and Pari Natarajan (Praja).According to Zinnov, the convergence of large R&D talent in the country today, experienced leaders, innovation eco-system created by the MNC companies, network of institutions (providing research backbone) and a strong local market is driving innovation in and to India. Moving up the value chain and being seen as Value centers rather than mere cost centers is the latest mantra of R&D centers in India. This is further substantiated by the promising growth forecast of the R&D sector in India. R&D offshoring to India is now a USD 9.35 Billion industry, with MNC-owned R&D centers accounting for about USD 5.83 Billion of this market. This is expected to grow to be a 21.4 billion industry by 2012.
The council will help Indian centers improve productivity, drive innovation and optimize operations.
