Effectron offers technology to African countries to manufacture solar lighting products

Effectron is an independent organization under private sector, having in-house R&D and product design centre for Solar Lighting products. They have licensed designs to an Indian Company to manufacture and market them in India. All products have found acceptance in Indian market. They now offer, to transfer  technology to manufacture Solar Lighting products in African country, using locally available materials and resources. All designed products are meant for people living at the “Bottom of Pyramid” and where grid connectivity is poor. Since these products have been designed and developed from concept in house, the firm  can transfer all the relevant knowledge to produce locally, and train technicians and engineer.

NOKERO SOLAR LIGHT BULB


Nokero lights are made from impact-resistant plastic, four solar panels, a replaceable rechargeable battery and five light-emitting diodes (LEDs). It is about the size of a standard light bulb and can withstand tough outdoor conditions. Price : 10-15$

Noble Energy Solar Technologies


NEST is manufacturer of Solar lanterns. Flagship product Aishwarya received Ashden Award in 2005. Promotor Barki is has been in solar photovoltaics business for last 22 years, a B.Tech graduate in Electronics Engineering (1982), from KREC (Now NIT), Surathkal. Powered by a solar panel which generates four hours of light, the lantern is designed to replace the potentially deadly kerosene lamp. Dharmappa Barki at the age of nine witnessed the tragic death of his baby cousin from burns caused by a fallen kerosene lamp and vowed to find a solution- he did find one.
