CTI PFAN - Asia Forum for Clean Energy Financing / Call for Project Proposals


Asia Forum for Clean Energy Financing (AFCEF-3) is being sponsored by the Climate Technology Initiative (CTI) and its Private Financing Advisory Network (CTI PFAN), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the International Center for Environmental Technology Transfer (ICETT), and will be organized in cooperation with Dawn Consulting, CleanEnergy Solutions International (CSI), PPL International, the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) and ReEx Capital Asia.

AFCEF-3 seeks to nurture entrepreneurs, start-up and growth companies, project teams and consortia with environmentally beneficial business proposals with the aim of linking them with investment and finance and making them happen. Once you have qualified for the 2nd stage of AFCEF3, you will receive coaching from professional experts, who will help you refine your business plan and prepare it for presentation to investors at the AFCEF3 investor forum in Singapore in February 2013.

Project Proposals to participate in the business plan competition and the investor forum are now being accepted at http://www.cti-pfan.net/events_detail.php?eventsid=44. Applications must be received by midnight (Japan Time) on Monday, 24th September 2012.

INFUSE Venture Accelerator (IVA) lunched by CIIE at IIM Ahmedabad


INFUSEVentures is a cleantech focused early stage venture capital fund managed by CIIE at IIM Ahmedabad.  IVA aims to compress 24 months of progress in 6months by providing access to seed capital and the best cleantech ecosystem in India. CIIE will work together with early stage startups and help them identify gaps, define a roadmap andfacilitate their work in every functional segment to achieve their milestonesmuch faster than if done alone.

·       Announcement of finalists for the boot camp at IIM Ahmedabad: 7th Aug
·       8-day start-up bootcamp at IIM Ahmedabad:27th Oct to 3rd Nov
·       Nov 3rd – Final selection of start-ups for incubation and seed investment
·       November 2012 to May 2013 – Incubation period
·       May 2013 – Re-evaluation of start-ups for follow-on funding.
