workshop on carbon credits

INSWARB is organising ‘Capacity Building Workshops on CDM’ at Hyderabad (30-31 August 2007) and Bhubaneswar (4 September 2007). The organisation received first tranche of carbon credits from the World Bank to their FaL-G:CDM Project. They desire that the fruits of carbon revenue should reach to as many industries as possible. In order to disseminate the knowledge on the opportunities for carbon credits in India they are organising these workshops.

ORGANISE SUCH WORKSHOP AT LUCKNOW UNIVERSITY

Dr Jagveer Rawat, Chief Advisor of HABITAT Consulting Group ( a not for profit organisation registered under Registration of Society Act) invited to speak at the occasion of World Environment Day on 5 June, 2007, did not use rhetoric as usual but called for action on ‘climate change’, which was topic of discussion. He asked faculty of environmental science to create a CARBON CREDIT GROUP with the help of number of partners including state and union governments in its Department.

After the lecture, Dr Rawat put his HcG on action and broached the idea to then Secretary of Non Conventional Energy Resources, Sh NN Pandey. A Group was also created under Dr PK Singh comprising of number of research students to work on providing CARBON CREDIT services in cooperation with HcG and other like-minded organisations.

Stuck at this stage, practically we are desperate to provide training, as has been delivered by you to our university set up.

Let us know the mechanisms?
