Innovator Dr Janardhana Reddy was among the cream of innovators present at Inventors of India workshop.Chennai-based innovators patented the X View, the world's first back-to-back computer monitor technology. The concept makes it possible for two or more users seated on either side of a notebook or desktop computer monitor to simultaneously view, share and digitally interact with the same content, including web content. X View is a collaborative effort, the idea for which came from a cardiothoracic surgeon -- Chennai-based Dr D Janardhana Reddy of Vijaya Heart Foundation -- and has been developed by technocrat-inventor L Narayan, managing director of Silicon Labs Pvt. MSS Reporting terminals for ship to shore data communication through Indian satellites are configured through a PC based work station with a user friendly GUI. The architecture is scalable and flexible to take care of future requirements. The data communication is highly secure with interface to a range of applications for command and control. These terminals work on a wide beam near omni directional antenna and hence are operational without satellite tracking and stabilization.
To send short messages from ship to main land, these terminals are ideal solution. They are mounted on the ship and use INSAT MSS payload to communicate to the destination through HUB. User in the ship can send the text or GPS messages through serial port to the terminals. Terminals can be configured in aloha, TDMA mode and Auto GPS Mode.
Develop a prospective cost-effectiveness analysis model that assesses in a specific developing country setting the potential cost-effectiveness of novel point-of-care diagnostic devices designed to detect common infectious diseases in the developing world.
