13 student teams develop Proof of Concept models in innovative medical devices at cost of less than $1000/-

How much it costs to work on first prototype to prove a concept in innovative Medical devices? Thirteen teams exhibited Proof Of Concept (POC) models at Medical fair , Mumbai on 3rd March 2012. All they received was financial support of maximum Rs 40,000/- under the Sahajanand Laser technology Sushruta Innovation Award (SIA) 2011-12 .

Electronic hand Glove for speech impaired and paralysed patients, students-Priyanshi Doshi, Pavan Upaddhyay, Sailesh Jain , Faculty-Prof HA Patel, Insititute;UV Patel College of Engineering,
Long term Blood Glucose monitoring using non-invasive adaptable laser technique, students- Archana J, Lakshmi A, faculty-Dr N Sriram, institute-SSN College of Engineering,
Nitric-oxide therapies for local inhibition of platelets on blood contacting surfaces,students-Preenu P sen, faculty-Dr M Murugan, Insitute- Noorul Islam University.
