There is a Global mind set issue / mental block which seems to be convinced that innovation happens only by people passing out from premium institutions like IIM/IITs or Harvards etc when in reality it is far from true. For example the current day innovators are

Bill Gates
Micheal Dell
Steve Jobs
.
.

Dhirubhai Ambani
LV Prasad
.
.
People with excellent ideas are being denied much needed funding due to this false notion of Institutional Superiority.

I have been advocating the need to have a 'Task Force' for assessing Innovations and supporting them for Actualization & Commercialization. Thanks to you Dr.AS Rao, we could do it during 'Technology Assessment & Commercialization Meet' held at Hyderabad during 29th Sept'2011 - 1st Oct'2011.
