Researchers at the University of Minnesota have compiled a library of 1,600 analgesic and opioid -compounds. The library consists of agonists, antagonists, and affinity labels. The chemical compounds of the library are characterized by chemical structure and biological activity. Potential applications for the chemical compounds include treatment of chronic pain, type-2 diabetes, obesity, compulsive disorders, schizophrenia, cancer, and depression.
